This past weekend was a celebration of teamwork, spirit, and the love of the game as YS Badminton proudly participated in two major team competitions: the Thunderbolts Team Tournament, presented by Brisbane Legends and ICAQ, and the Fujian Cup Team Championships, hosted by the QLD Fujian Association.
Our participation in both events brought together our teams: coaches, students, YS comp team, and players in the community playing side by side. More than just competing, it was about coming together, playing with heart, and representing the values that YS Badminton stands for—unity, sportsmanship, and continuous growth.

A huge congratulations to YS Team 1, who triumphed in the Level 1 event at the Thunderbolts Tournament, bringing home the championship trophy! Led by our head coach and team leader AJ, the winning squad demonstrated outstanding skill, unity, and determination throughout the competition.
We’re incredibly proud of each and every player who stepped onto the court this weekend. Win or lose, everyone is a champion in our eyes. We celebrate not only the victories but also the heart, effort, and growth shown by all. This weekend showcased what makes YS Badminton special—cheering for each other’s wins, learning from our losses, and always striving to improve together.
