Our YS Badminton juniors recently competed at the Queensland U11, U13 & U17 Smash Fest (Bronze Event), and we are extremely proud of the effort, attitude, and performances displayed throughout the tournament.

Results

U11 Girls Singles – Winner: Kate

U11 Girls Singles – Runner-up: Jayna

U11 Mixed Doubles – Winner: Kate (with Meng-Cheng)

U13 Boys Doubles – Winners: Ray & Jayden

U13 Mixed Doubles – Winner: Ray (with Mia)

U17 Boys Singles – Winner: Grayson

U17 Boys Doubles – Winners: Grayson (with Lucas)

These achievements were supported by many other strong performances from our students, including multiple semi-final finishes across various events. While medals and titles are always exciting, we are equally proud of every player who stepped onto the court, competed with confidence, and challenged themselves throughout the tournament.

Many of these players are part of our Level 2 and Level 3 Junior Group Training programs, with some also participating in private training. Their results are a reflection of the consistent effort they have put into training throughout the term.

As we come to the end of Term 2, we would like to congratulate all of our juniors for their hard work and commitment. Success in competition doesn’t happen overnight. It is built through quality training, good habits, discipline, and a willingness to keep improving every session. Hard work pays off, and competition results often begin with the way players train each week.

A special thank you to our coaching team for their dedication to helping students learn, enjoy, and grow in badminton. Their passion and commitment continue to play an important role in the development of our players both on and off the court.

Winter Holiday Camp Starts Next Week

With the school holidays just around the corner, the training doesn’t stop.

Level 1, 1+

Designed for beginner and developing players, this program focuses on building strong badminton foundations through grip correction, footwork development, shuttle control, rally skills, and basic game understanding. It is the perfect environment for young players to learn the game properly and develop confidence on court.

Level 2 & Level 3

Designed for intermediate and advanced players, this high-performance training program focuses on technical development, movement efficiency, match play, tactical awareness, and competitive performance. It is ideal for players already competing or looking to progress further in tournaments and representative badminton.

Congratulations to all of our students on a successful tournament, and we look forward to seeing everyone continue their development during the upcoming Winter Holiday Camp Enrol Now!
