The Lions Club 3rd Brisbane Zhonghua Cup concluded successfully after an incredible two full days of badminton, community spirit, and charity fundraising at Sky Badminton.
This year’s event was our biggest tournament yet, bringing together:
402 total players
356 event entries
221 hours of court time
Competition played across 2 full days
From highly competitive matches to first-time tournament players, the weekend showcased the growth and passion of the badminton community across Queensland and beyond.
A huge thank you goes to Lions Club Brisbane Zhonghua for partnering with us to make this event possible and for supporting the vision of combining badminton with charitable impact.
We would also like to sincerely thank our major sponsor SC Finance Brokers, along with all supporting sponsors and partners:
BrisVegas Property Group, Dade Forex, EZ Realty Group, Leader Accountancy, PPA Realty, Triangle Property Solutions, U R True Love, Virtual Watt, Bee Media
Your support played a major role in the success of this event and the charities we are proud to support.
Most importantly, thank you to all of our volunteers, umpires, helpers, photographers, and players. Running an event of this scale would not have been possible without the countless hours contributed behind the scenes and the incredible energy brought by the badminton community throughout the weekend.
This tournament proudly supported two meaningful charities:
Supporting Variety – The Children’s Charity Queensland
Variety – the Children’s Charity Queensland supports children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage, or living with disability through life-changing programs focused on medical care, mobility, education, and inclusion. Their mission is to provide critical help and hope to children and families when they need it most.
Variety helps children gain mobility, independence, confidence, and access to opportunities through grants, educational support, mobility equipment, communication devices, and community programs.
Supporting Childhood Cancer Support
Childhood Cancer Support has supported Queensland families since 1976 by providing practical assistance, accommodation, and transport services for children undergoing cancer treatment and their families, particularly those travelling from regional and rural areas.
Their work helps reduce the emotional and financial burden faced by families during incredibly difficult times, ensuring they have a supportive community and access to essential care throughout treatment journeys.
