We are incredibly proud of our students who recently competed at the Yonex Australian U15 & U19 National Individual Championships 2026, with Jason also representing Queensland in the Australian U19 National Team Championships.
The Australian U15 & U19 National Championships bring together the country’s top junior badminton players, providing an opportunity to compete against Australia’s best while gaining invaluable experience on the national stage.
Congratulations to our students:
Jason (U19)
Represented Queensland in the Australian U19 Team Championships, with the team finishing 6th, while also competing across the individual events.
Grayson (U19)
Reached the Men’s Doubles Consolation Final and competed in the U19 individual events.
Aurelius (U15)
Represented YS Badminton in the U15 individual championships, competing against some of Australia’s strongest young players.
Competing at a national championship is a significant milestone in every athlete’s development. Beyond the results, tournaments like these provide invaluable experience, expose players to the highest level of junior badminton in Australia, and help prepare them for future state and national competitions.
We are proud of Jason, Grayson and Aurelius for their commitment throughout their preparation and competition. Their willingness to challenge themselves at the highest level reflects the hard work they continue to put into their training each week.
The tournament may be over, but the work continues. We look forward to welcoming everyone back into training as they build on this experience and continue striving towards their next goals.
Congratulations once again on representing both Queensland and YS Badminton with pride.
