We are proud of our students who competed at the 2026 Queensland Junior Championships over the weekend.
As a Gold event on the Queensland junior tournament calendar, the championships brought together some of the strongest young players from across Queensland, with competitors also travelling from New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to test themselves against high-level junior competition and put their training into practice.

More Than the Results
While the podium finishes are a great reflection of our students’ hard work, we are equally proud of the many players who competed strongly throughout the tournament.
Several students reached the semi-final stages, while others produced competitive matches and showed clear improvement from their previous competitions. Every match provides another opportunity to gain experience, identify areas for improvement and build confidence under pressure.
For junior players, development is a long-term process. Strong performances are built through consistent training, good habits and a willingness to keep challenging yourself against stronger competition.
We are proud of every student who stepped onto court and represented YS Badminton with effort, determination and sportsmanship.
Congratulations to all our players on a fantastic weekend of competition. The tournament may be over, but the work continues as we return to training and continue working towards the next challenge.
